UNUSUAL COMBINATION
Broccolata is a cute sauce/pesto/spread made by Polizzi family. If I just list the ingredients: cauliflower, pine nuts, raisins, tomatoes, anchovies, extra virgin olive oil. Doesn't it sound nice? You can use it on pasta, with rice, meat, on bread, vegetables ...
The prevailing taste is of cauliflower, but the other ingredients make a very good company so it all mix well together and make a wonderful taste.
Moreover, cauliflower, as the main ingredient, is a brassica and contains very few calories, but a lot of substances that help against cancer and regulate hormones, like broccoli and cabbage. In particular it protects against breast and colon cancer. It contains a lot of folic acid.

ABOUT POLIZZI FAMILY

Polizzi oil-extraction plant was created about 60 years ago with Mr. Luigi Polizzi, who was very versatile and solid man. He began to develop his passion for olive oil. His daughter Michela Polizzi together with her children carried on the family tradition with the same care and attention, dedicating herself to the cultivation of their olive groves situated at an altitude of 600 meters on land in the town of Caltanissetta in the heart of Sicily.

Unfortunately Mrs. Michela died and today her sons Luigi and Mario are taking care of the olive groves and are expanding this great passion for olive oil on to their children.

Besides making organic extra virgin olive oil, Polizzi family also processes various vegetables and fruits. We decided to have Broccolata in our offer as it is very unique and excellent product.
