HEAVENLY CREAM
A smell of cinnamon usually brings up the memories of winter time, because we bake goodies and make tea with it. With cinnamon cream you can indulge yourself all year around. Its fresh, delicate but aromatized flavor is not easily forgotten.
Cinnamon derives from the inner part of the tree bark of the cinnamon tree. It has a very long history, written by Phoenicians, Chinese and Egyptians. Even the Romans knew it and valued it; they imported it from the Persian Gulf. Cinnamon is mentioned in the Bible and in some Chinese recipes, dating back more than 3000 years BC. A cinnamon in a cinnamon cream is not so much used as a medicine as it is for pampering. I guess you will enjoy it straight from a jar with a spoon.
 
NATURAL PRODUCT
I think I have to mention one thing: Cinnamon cream is a natural product. And when “resting” oil comes on top of the jar. That is all normal, because they do not use hydrogenated fats which are a big poison of modern food industry and because of which all products look all nice and solid but of course artificial. Just mix well and oil will disappear or pour it out if you have a feeling that there is too much of it.
 
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
Cinnamon Cream is used in tradition Sicilian cakes and desserts like »cannoli«. For the sweet toothed it is excellent spread on croissants for an early morning sugar rush or as a topping on a freshly baked sponge cake. When kept in the fridge it is best used as a spread, but when kept on a room temperature it becomes more liquid and you can use it as a topping on ice cream, fruit or different cakes.
