Marmellata di Mandarino tardivo (marzuddu) - Tangerine marmalade is produced according to an ancient tradition. It is like a sweet marriage between tangerines and the art of eating well. Marmalade is colorful, lively and elegant just like the exclusive taste of the tangerines used.
 
ORIGIN
Tangerine Ciaculli is one of the most beautiful fruit that land can produce. Also named “marzuddu” because it matures late in March.
Ciaculli is an area which is located at the motorway Palermo-Messina behind the mountains that form the walls of the city. Decades ago the land was terraced and planted with tangerines. It is a real spectacle to see how these plants stand on the slopes of the mountain. They ripen late because the land is on the north; it is under a cold weather and has to wait till spring.

Mr. Tornambe senior, on the photo, father of Mr. Antonino Tornambe (the man we met in Verona on Agrifood fair) has planted the fields with tangerines.
