»FINOCCHIETTO«
The use of Finocchietto for the preparation of 'pasta con le sarde' (sardines) has always been an integral part of Sicilian tradition. Wild Fennel Paté was created as a dedication to this traditional culinary delight, a long-lived recipe mirroring Sicilian life.
Fennel used for this paté is picked up on the hills of the Sicilian country-side. It is very aromatic.

NATURAL PRODUCT
I think I have to mention one thing: Wild Fennel Paté is a very delicate, natural product. And especially when open, oil comes on top of the jar and the structure becomes kind of lumpy. That is all normal, because they do not use hydrogenated fats which are a big poison of modern food industry and because of which all pâtés look all nice and solid and of course artificial.
 
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
This dense, creamy, green paté has a thousand uses may it be to smear over fish, use as a vegetarian dip or add to any sauce that requires that extra kick.
Our suggestion is to mix Sword fish paté and Wild Fennel Paté and add the mixture to cooked pasta. Gorgeous. You can check this recipe also on our Blog on video.
